Semperoper
Dresden's iconic opera house on Theaterplatz. Even from the outside it's worth a stop; interior tours run on selected days when there is no performance.
Brühl's Terrace
Often called the “Balcony of Europe” – a riverside promenade with wide views over the Elbe, perfect for a slow stroll between venues.
Residenzschloss & Green Vault
The former royal palace holds the famous Green Vault treasure chambers. Book timed tickets ahead if you want to go inside – they often sell out.
Climb the Frauenkirche dome
On days around the wedding when visits are open, the dome climb rewards you with a panorama over the rebuilt Altstadt.
Neustadt across the Elbe
Cross Augustusbrücke for a different side of Dresden – cafés, indie shops and a more relaxed evening atmosphere than the old town.
