Once we have a couple more details confirmed, we'll send out proper invitations on paper. As we are sending out letters to guests in multiple countries, some might receive their invitations sooner than others.

You don't need to RSVP until you have received the invitation. We will make sure to send it out as soon as we can so you have plenty of time to book your travels and accommodation.

The wedding dress code is formal attire and you are welcome to dress as elegantly as you wish. You can wear clothes of any color, but we would appreciate if guests don't wear full white or very bright colors.

Please also keep in mind that the ceremony will take place in a church, so we ask that you dress accordingly.

Both the ceremony and the wedding party will be held indoors. There will be a small walk from the church to the venue and there will also be opportunities to step outside during the wedding party and dinner.

April in Dresden is usually mild, but can be chilly, with average highs of 14°C and lows of 4°C during the night.

If you are traveling from outside Germany, it is usually recommended to fly to Berlin or Prague as you can often find direct flights to those destinations. From either airport it is very easy to get to Dresden within 2–3 hours by train (Deutsche Bahn) or bus (Flixbus or RegioJet). Generally, prices are lower the earlier you book.

The Frauenkirche is located on the Neumarkt in the very center of Dresden's Altstadt (old town). While the Neumarkt is not directly accessible by car, you can get very close by car or public transport. There are multiple tram stops in the close vicinity, with the closest one being Altmarkt (5 min away) and the largest one being Postplatz (10 min away), where most tram and bus lines meet.

For guests traveling from outside Dresden, it is recommended to choose one of the many hotel options in walkable distance.

There are multiple parking garages and parking lots close to the Neumarkt. Here are some of the closest and most convenient options:

Hilton Dresden City Parking (3 min away) – max. €25 per day

Tiefgarage An der Frauenkirche (3 min away) – max. €28 per day

Parkplatz Schießgasse (4 min away) – max. €12 per day

CONTIPARK Tiefgarage Semperoper (12 min away) – max. €6 per day

Parkplatz Altstadtgarten (15 min away) – max. €6 per day

For guests coming from outside Dresden, we suggest staying at the INNSiDE by Meliá Hotel, as we will host our wedding party in the VEN Restaurant downstairs. We recommend booking your room directly through the hotel website as it allows you to use their rewards program and special offers (Note: There is a "Book 3 Nights, Stay for 4 Nights" offer valid for reservations made until August 31, 2026).

It is of course possible to stay in a different hotel if you wish. There are many other nice hotels in various price categories close by. You can find more options here.

Children are always welcome, but please keep in mind that there are no kids-specific activities planned for the day.

We do not have all the details about the menu yet, but there will be coffee and cake in the afternoon, and a dinner buffet in the evening. Both will include gluten-free, lactose-free and vegetarian/vegan options, so we hope that everyone can find something to enjoy.

Yes, there will be an open bar. The types of drinks available might vary during the day.

It is not necessary to bring a gift and we do not have a registry – we are just happy for you to spend this day with us. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a small contribution to our future home fund would be warmly appreciated.

If you plan on bringing a physical gift, please keep in mind to keep it small in size as everything will have to fit into our suitcase on the way back to Finland.
